CASE STUDY
SITUATION
Google Fiber is part of Alphabet’s Access division. It provides broadband internet, WiFi, TV, and phone products to customers in 20 US locations using its fiber-to-the-premise technology. Google Fiber developed a low-cost internet broadband offering to ensure underserved residents in its existing network build footprint had equitable access to broadband.
OUR ROLE & ACTION
We supported Google Fiber's sales & marketing function in developing its strategy, roadmap, and marketing plan for the launch Neighborhood 100, fast, reliable, and fairly priced internet service for households with $40,000 per year or less in annualized income. We designed and produced a digital consumer campaign, “It’s how I connect” to launch the product rollout.
RESULTS
Google Fiber’s Neighborhood 100 successfully launched in underserved communities across parts of the Google Fiber footprint starting with Atlanta, North Nashville, and Kansas City. Offering affordable internet to eligible customers, Neighborhood 100 helped to accelerate closing the digital divide in underserved communities. The digital campaign garnered over 2Mil video views.
