SITUATION
Prudential’s commitment to the principles of shared value and an evolving marketplace inspired a new intention to increase trust, favorability, and business growth in the Black consumer segment while helping increase generational wealth for Black Americans. Prudential sought a strategic partner with cultural competency to help develop the business growth strategy, operating plan, and support sales engagement and education.
OUR ROLE & ACTION
Serve as cultural experts, strategic communication advisors and business analysts to develop deep consumer understanding, build a business growth strategy, and a go-to-market strategy. Our 7E team conducted primary research to define the target audience, conducted a market opportunity assessment and sizing, designed the strategic plan and roadmap, and developed the public-facing name of Prudential’s new Black consumer initiative.
RESULTS
IN 2023, Prudential launched Blueprints To Black Wealth, its groundbreaking business growth strategy dedicated to helping close the racial wealth gap and drive financial prosperity for Black Americans. The brand has reframed how it operationalizes engagement with Black consumers and implemented sales training and enablement tools to engage Black consumers with relevancy and intention, and a deeper understanding of the unique financial journey of Black consumers.
